AASHISH VATS is the founding partner of the Firm and has over 12 years' experience in advising various multinational corporations, private equity funds, project developers, start-ups, investors, advisors, consultants, banks and financial institutions on their numerous corporate and commercial transactions relating to foreign investments, joint ventures, real estate, projects and project finance, consortium banking, private equity investments and other commercial transactions. His advice includes undertaking legal and regulatory evaluation of projects (including conducting legal due diligence exercises for evaluating legal and regulatory feasibility); structuring the entire transaction from a legal and commercial standpoint; and drafting and negotiating transaction documents and advising on closing and post-closing compliances.
During his decade long career span, Aashish has expertly advised clients on India Entry for New Businesses and handled several transactions in the real estate sector, e-commerce, manufacturing, and the renewable energy sector. His strong client commitment and consistent delivery of high-quality services have been recognised by his clients and they have continued to work with him for legal support on a wide range of laws involving advice on investments, structuring transactions, acquisitions, corporate governance, infrastructure, and project financing.
Prior to setting up the Firm, Aashish was a part of China Fortune Land Development Co. Ltd. (CFLD), an international new industrial city developer headquartered in Singapore, focusing on construction and development of new industrial cities. Before that, he was a Senior Consultant with Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, where he advised a wide array of clients, both Indian and foreign, on transactions involving renewable energy, infrastructure, projects and project finance. He has also worked with AZB & Partners as a Senior Associate for more than 5 years and with MNK Law Offices, Delhi offices at a Corporate Lawyer where he advised clients on transactions relating to foreign investments, joint ventures, real estate, consortium lending, private equity investments and general corporate advisory.
Aashish, during his career with 2 of the top tiered law firms in India and a boutique law firm, has gained the unique experience of having led corporate transactions from both sides of the bench; from the investors and the promoter side.
Aashish graduated from Symbiosis Law School, Pune, Symbiosis International University, India with a B.B.A. LLB (Honours) degree and has been enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council of Delhi since 2008. Aashish is also a member of the Delhi High Court Bar Association and Indian National Bar Association.

V. K. SHARMA is a senior advisor to the Firm. Mr. Sharma has over 37 years of rich experience in the field of law.
Mr. Sharma pursued his career in law in the year 1979 and pursued a career in the Administration of the Hon'ble Delhi High Court. In 1990, Mr. Sharma was elevated to the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India as Court Master. Mr. Sharma was in service for over 26 years in the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India from where he retired in August 2016 as the Deputy Registrar.
During his tenure of more than two decades at the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, Mr. Sharma had the privilege and honour to work with one of the finest judicial minds in the Country including Hon'ble Justice Rang Nath Misra, Former Chief Justice of India, Hon'ble Justice K. N. Singh, Former Chief Justice of India, Hon'ble Justice L. M. Sharma, Former Chief Justice of India, Hon'ble Justice M. H. Kania, Former Chief Justice of India, Hon'ble Justice M.N. Venkatachaliah, Former Chief Justice of India, Hon'ble Justice B. N. Kirpal, Former Chief Justice of India, Hon'ble Justice Tarun Chatterjee, Former Judge, Supreme Court of India, Hon'ble Justice S. S. Nijjar, Former Judge, Supreme Court of India and Hon'ble Justice Adarsh Kumar Goel, Former Judge, Supreme Court of India.
Currently, Mr. Sharma is at the Principal Bench of the Armed Forces Tribunal at New Delhi, India. He brings to the Firm the unique experience of guiding the lawyers of the Firm in the interpretation of contentious matters. In this, the vast and immeasurable experience brought by Mr. Sharma complements the pure transactional experience of Aashish Vats, our founding partner, bringing the Firm's clients the balanced, well-rounded and commercially actionable advice.
Mr. Sharma also mentors the partners of the Firm in areas of business development and professional growth. In his personal time, Mr. Sharma does gardening and spends time with his family and grandchildren.
